Internal and external stress is all around of us and attacking us on various levels: physical stress (for example exercise can be good or bad for you if you are doing right amounts of the right type of exercise or equally bad for you if your training is too hard), chemical (air pollution), emotional (work or family relationships are important factor) and visceral (if your gut bacteria is not up to the game) all these play a part of our overall well being and how chilled or stressed out we feel.
With training programs It is important factor to think about if you need to “work in instead of work out!” It’s impossible to be completely stress free and some stress is important too and actually makes us to perform better, but knowing your limits and finding a balance of two in life is crucial!
If you have had very stressful day try this very simple little exercise. Go lie on top of the foam roller, so your head and glutes are supported. Holding your palms up toward the ceiling, try to keep your fingers touching floor while drawing a big circle above your head and towards your toes. You will probably feel your chest, hands and spine to stretch, relax and re-aligning. Do about 10 circles and then just relax on top of the foam roller (and if you want just turn your head slowly to right and left). Try to breath deep, relaxed and slower you are able to go the better!
